“Wells Fargo has a long history of supporting women and we’ve continued to show our commitment to women business leaders, including launching programs and initiatives specifically for women and their needs. Continuing to collaborate with organizations like the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is essential to our effort to help these entrepreneurs to grow and excel in a challenging market.” Gigi Dixon, Head of External Engagement for Diverse Segments, Representation & Inclusion

Wells Fargo has a rich history of supporting women business owners and providing women access to capital and financial services. We are dedicated to helping women succeed financially – in business and personally.

In 1995, Wells Fargo became the first financial services provider in the country to establish a national outreach and education program to help women small business owners reach their financial goals, and we announced our first lending goal for women-owned businesses. Since 1995, Wells Fargo has loaned more than $59 billion to women business owners and the company has spent over $800 million with women-owned businesses from 2020-2023 via our supplier diversity efforts. Wells Fargo is proud to support national organizations that provide financial education and resources to serve the needs of small business owners. Wells Fargo began working with the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in 1996 to further reach women business owners national and locally. In 2021, Wells Fargo launched Connect to More® to support the development and growth of women-owned businesses, including a partnership with Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center to create the Milestone Circles, a 12 week cohort-based program designed to enhance the knowledge and networks for participants. Wells Fargo sponsored the 2024 Impact of Women-owned Businesses report to provide the latest information about women-owned businesses and their contributions to the economy.

Internally, Wells Fargo is also committed to connecting and empowering our team members, and throughout Women’s Team Member network we use education, support and influence to develop diverse, customer-focused leaders while driving business objectives and supporting Wells Fargo’s efforts to be one of the world’s greatest companies.
