Molly K. Gimmel
Molly K. Gimmel is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Design To Delivery Inc. Gimmel has been working in the field of government contract and acquisition management since 1991. Before founding D2DInc, she spent eight years working in the government practices of three of the “Big Five” accounting/consulting firms. She is a recognized expert in government contracting and is regularly asked to speak to small business organizations and other groups interested in federal contracting.
D2DInc is a federal contractor and has supported multiple Defense and Civilian agencies including the Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Department of Interior, General Services Administration, Department of Transportation, Department of Energy, Department of Health & Human Services, National Institute of Standards & Technology, and Peace Corps. Gimmel serves as the Program Executive and oversees performance on all of D2DInc’s contracts. She also directs D2DInc’s business development efforts, teaming relationship development, and contracts function.
Gimmel currently serves as the Immediate Past Chair on the National Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and is a past president of the NAWBO Greater DC Chapter. She was named an Enterprising Woman of the Year in 2014 by Enterprising Women magazine and serves on the Enterprising Women Advisory Board. She is a member of Women in Defense (WID), the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), and Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP). She also serves on the board of the Traveling Players Ensemble, a non-profit organization that provides summer theater programs for middle- and high-school students.
Gimmel holds a Masters of Science in Contract & Acquisition Management from Florida Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from the College of William & Mary.
