Kristin Slice

Kristin Slice is the founder of Empowered Lab Communications L.L.C., an organization committed to changing the small business world by unleashing the power of the voice of real business owners through training, podcasts, online communities and consulting. Empowered Lab Communications is a women-owned firm based in Phoenix, AZ.

Kristin Slice created Empowered Lab Communication because she believes communication, relationship building and authenticity are the keys to long term business success. Her keen understanding of the community and local economy has resulted in several professional recognition for her work in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors.

Her education includes undergraduate degrees in human communication and political science from Arizona State University and a Masters in Organizational Communication from Texas A&M University. Kristin has completed several projects abroad in communication and corporate culture and has worked in marketing and communications positions in a variety of fields including heavy highway construction and non-profit management. A lifelong learner, Kristin has received certifications as a Social Media Strategist, a Business Counselor with the Association of Small Business Development Center and a Import and Export Counselor with the SBA.

As a professional speaker she has spoken at a variety of venues including the National Conference for Women Business Owners, the Arizona Non-Profit Communications Summit and the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. Through her work with the Small Business Development Center she has developed training programs that have served and educated thousands of Phoenix small business owners.
