FEATURED PRESENTATION: 2025-2026 Leadership Team Installation

A special thanks to Council Member Krista Laine for swearing in our new leadership team.

Council Member Krista Laine joined the Austin City Council in January of this year, representing District 6 far Northwest Austin. Prior to joining the City Council, she worked as a commercial real estate appraiser specializing in the Austin housing market. CM Laine has also served on several boards and committees supporting public schools in D6 and advocating on behalf of D6 students and families.

Council Member Laine brings to her position a deep commitment to community engagement, to representing the diverse needs of the district, and to ensuring that all District 6 residents, families, and businesses are supported to the fullest extent possible. She is working towards increased collaboration across City departments and jurisdictions around Austin, increased reliability and resiliency of utilities, and meeting the diverse housing and transportation needs of our Austin residents. She is excited to work together with the community from her position in City Council and as a D6 resident.
