NAWBO Responds to President's State of the Union

“NAWBO is pleased to see the President putting the need for workforce training in the forefront of his economic policy agenda,” said National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Board Chair Cristina Morales Heaney. “In a recent survey of NAWBO’s women business owners, 40% of NAWBO’s women business owners reported difficulty hiring last fall. We truly believe our nation must provide training to close the skills gap or reskill our workforce to ensure that women business owners have access to talent and can compete to build sustainable businesses. We hope bipartisan efforts will work to bring this idea to fruition.”
