NAWBO Releases Statement on Announcement of Sen. Loeffler to Serve as SBA Administrator
Washington, D.C. — Today, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) released a statement after President-elect Trump announced his nomination of former Senator Kelly Loeffler as the Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Ms. Loeffler brings a blend of public and private sector leadership, in addition to entrepreneurial experience, to the role.
“NAWBO is committed to continuing our partnership with the SBA as part of our mission to advocate for women-owned businesses, ensure they have a seat at the table, and that their economic impact is felt across all levels of government,” said NAWBO CEO Jen Earle.
“The last several years have been marked by historic growth in new small businesses, with women-owned businesses leading the way. The creation of more than 20 million new small businesses since 2021 demonstrates the need for strong leadership of the SBA, the only federal agency tasked with supporting the economic advancement of America’s small businesses and entrepreneurship.
“We welcome the opportunity to meet with Ms. Loeffler to discuss the needs of women-owned businesses as well as ways to collaborate on their behalf,” continues Earle. “We look forward to following her confirmation process and to working with her and her team once confirmed to lead the Small Business Administration.”
