Feb 21, 2017 Washington, D.C.The National Association of Women’s Business Owners (NAWBO) will bring its annual National Women’s Business Conference to Minneapolis from October 15 – 17.  The 2017 event will feature keynote Elizabeth Gilbert, Author of Eat, Pray, Love and most recently, Big Magic. The theme of this year’s conference is “Together We Dare.”

“Women business owners are naturally ‘daring’ individuals,” said Teresa Meares, NAWBO National Board Chair.  “We each took a huge leap in starting our businesses, and we continue to dare every day—to break boundaries, push limits, change the status quo, work together, attempt the unexpected, be authentic and create our magic. We see opportunities where others see obstacles.”

Nearly one thousand women business owners from across the country are expected to attend the conference to be inspired and motivated to obtain the tools and advice they need to start and grow their businesses.  The conference will offer break-out sessions designed to help business owners scale and grow their businesses and allow for networking opportunities.

“Women-owned businesses make a significant contribution to our economy,” said Kathy Warnick, NAWBO National Chair-Elect, whose home chapter Columbus, Ohio hosted last year’s Conference.   “NAWBO was founded 42 years ago to serve as an advocacy organization for all women business owners.  We are proud to continue that legacy and to ensure that women business owners have a voice at the decision-making tables.”

Bank of America will serve as the Conference’s Presenting Sponsor.   This will be Bank of America’s fifth year serving in that role.  For more information visit www.nawbo.org
