NAWBO National to meet with more than 800 delegates from around the world to discuss the role of women entrepreneurs
(Washington, D.C. November 13, 2017)—The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is representing the U.S. at the Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises Mondiales (FCEM) World Congress in Rome, Italy November 20-22.
NAWBO is sending a delegation of 6 women business owners to Rome to participate in the FCEM World Congress. The Congress programming incudes a meeting with the Mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, a flash mob against violence on women as well as several panels on the roles of women in leadership roles. NAWBO’s National Chair of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Development Board, Teresa Meares will participate in a panel discussion on women leadership in an open government.
“For 73 years FCEM has been promoting the vision and voice of women business owners around the world,” said Teresa Meares, National Board Chair of the NAWBO Institute for Entrepreneurial Development. “NAWBO is pleased to have the opportunity to participate in the FCEM World Congress in Rome. We look forward to connecting with women business owners from other countries to discuss the obstacles and opportunities we all face and how to expand opportunities for women.”
The FCEM World Congress will be attended by more than 800 delegates from over 100 countries including entrepreneurs, government representatives, business and top-level thought-leaders.
“NAWBO National is proud to continue our partnership with FCEM and explore ways to work together to benefit women business owners,” said Kathy Warnick, NAWBO National Board Chair. “As women business owners, we have so much to learn from each other. We are glad FCEM provides a global platform for women to do so.”
NAWBO National will host the FCEM World Committee Meeting in New York City April 12-14, 2018.
