NAWBO National Endorses Will Hurd for Congress

Aug 4, 2018 | Advocacy, Uncategorized

Washington, D.C – Today the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is announcing its endorsement of Will Hurd in his bid for re-election to Congress from Texas’ 23rd District.

“NAWBO National is proud of Congressman Hurd’s commitment to bipartisan solutions for our nation’s small business owners and is pleased to announce our endorsement of his campaign for re-election,” said Molly Gimmel, NAWBO National Board Chair. “NAWBO National was founded in 1975 to serve as the first advocacy organization for all women business owners, a legacy we are proud to continue with our national efforts as well as in our local chapters, like San Antonio.”

NAWBO National considers candidates for endorsement after they have won their primary election based solely on their history of business ownership or their legislative or executive record demonstrating their support for business owners. Additional endorsements will be made by NAWBO National prior to the November 6 general election.

“I am honored to have the support of NAWBO and its members,” said Hurd. “Women-owned businesses are a critical part of our economy, and I am proud of my record advocating for pro-growth and pro-business policies in Congress.”

The National endorsement will be announced today at an event at Congressman Hurd’s campaign headquarters in San Antonio attended by local NAWBO members.

“Congressman Hurd has been a long-time supporter of our NAWBO chapter.  We look forward to continuing to work with him on behalf of women business owners here and across the country,” said Pam Goble, President Elect of the NAWBO San Antonio chapter.
