NAWBO National Continues Congressional Endorsement Campaign

(Washington, D.C. October 31, 2016)—The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is announcing its endorsement of Todd Rokita in his bid for re-election to Congress from Indiana’s 4th District.

NAWBO National screens candidates for endorsement solely on their history of business ownership or their voting record demonstrating their consistent support of business owners.

“We are pleased to announce our endorsement of Todd Rokita. Congressman Rokita has a proven track record of supporting small business owners during his public service in Indiana and Washington, D.C,” said Teresa Meares, NAWBO National Board Chair.  “NAWBO was founded 41 years ago to serve as an advocacy organization for all women business owners.  It is our pleasure to continue that legacy today by supporting all women business owners and those who support them.”

“I am honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). I had worked with NAWBO to help modernize Indiana’s business legal climate in my days as Secretary of State, and continue to look for ways to improve opportunities for all businesses as a Member of Congress. I look forward to continuing our great work together for women business owners in Indiana and around the United States,” Congressman Rokita said.

Additional endorsements will be made by NAWBO prior to the November 8 general election.  In 2014, 94% of the candidates NAWBO National endorsed were elected.
