Matsui joins a list of candidates supported by NAWBO National.
Washington, D.C. —The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is announcing its endorsement of U.S. Representative Doris Matsui in her bid for re-election in California’s 6th District.
“Congresswoman Matsui works as a true advocate and champion for women business owners,” explains Molly Gimmel, NAWBO National Board Chair. “She crafts legislative proposals that not only support the small business community, but she also stands as one of the strongest representatives pushing STEM education for women and girls in the House. To continue to grow and elevate our women-owned businesses of the future, our nation needs policymakers that make women a priority, and for this reason, NAWBO stands behind Representative Matsui.”
“I am honored to receive the NAWBO endorsement. NAWBO provides the necessary tools and resources to encourage women to open a small business or seek other entrepreneurial opportunities,” said Congresswoman Matsui.
NAWBO National endorsed Matsui when she ran for re-election in 2016.
NAWBO National considers candidates for endorsement after they have won their primary. The selection of candidates is based solely on their history of business ownership or their voting record demonstrating their consistent support of business owners. Additional endorsements will be made by NAWBO prior to the November 6th general election.
