(Washington, D.C. October 3, 2016)—The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is announcing its endorsement of David McKinley in his bid for re-election to Congress from West Virginia’s 1st District.

NAWBO National screens candidates for endorsement solely on their history of business ownership or their voting record demonstrating their consistent support of business owners.

“NAWBO works diligently to ensure women business owners have the resources they need to start and grow their businesses because when women business owners do well, our economy does well,” said Teresa Meares, NAWBO National Board Chair.  “As both a small business owner and a Member of Congress, David McKinley understands the contribution that women business owners make to our economy.  We are pleased to announce this endorsement and look forward to working with him on the issues that impact our members and all small business owners.”

Additional endorsements will be made by NAWBO prior to the November 8 general election.  In 2014, 94% of the candidates NAWBO National endorsed were elected.

“It is an honor to be endorsed by the National Association of Women Business Owners. My record will show a pro job, pro business philosophy that is much needed to create job growth,” stated Congressman McKinley. “It is especially humbling to be endorsed by the female business leaders from across our great country.”
