Cardin joins a growing list of candidates supported by NAWBO National.

Washington, D.C. —The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is announcing its endorsement of U.S. Senator Ben Cardin in his bid for re-election in Maryland.

“Senator Cardin’s work on behalf of the small business community, especially the federal contracting community, does not go unnoticed by NAWBO National,” explains Molly Gimmel, NAWBO National Board Chair. “Through his hard work, we’ve seenthe extension of increased guarantees and reduced fees in SBA’s two largest loan programs, and we recognize his unparalleled support of expanding access to contracts for women-owned businesses. For this reason, we stand behind Senator Cardin and are proud to support his campaign for re-election.”

NAWBO National considers candidates for endorsement after they have won their primary. The selection of candidates is based solely on their history of business ownership or their voting record demonstrating their consistent support of business owners. Additional endorsements will be made by NAWBO prior to the November 6th general election.
