Washington, D.C. —The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is pleased to congratulate Isabel Guzman on her nomination to lead the Small Business Administration (SBA) under the Biden Administration.
NAWBO National works in close collaboration with the Small Business Administration. It looks forward to continuing to work with the SBA to ensure that the women’s business economy remains resilient as women business owners navigate these difficult times.
“Isabel Guzman, the first Latina named to a cabinet-level position by President-elect Biden, comes with significant experience in access to capital as well as being an entrepreneur herself. Her expertise will be critical during this time of economic uncertainty as we continue to work to get capital into the hands of women business owners across America,” said Cristina Morales Heaney, NAWBO National Board Chair. “We look forward to following her through the confirmation process and to working with her and her team once she is confirmed to lead the Small Business Administration.”
Isabel Casillas Guzman has over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship. Ms. Guzman has expertise in public and private supply chains, capital markets, international trade, and strategic growth and operations. She is the former Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Small Business Administration.
