Washington, D.C. — The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is proud to support bipartisan efforts in the U.S. House of Representatives to increase the size of, and ease of obtaining, microloans through the Small Business Administration (SBA). Representatives Rep. Tim Burchett (R- TN) and Andy Kim (D- NJ) introduced the Bipartisan “Microloan, Major Impact” Package which includes the Microloan Transparency and Accountability Act of 2020 (H.R.6078) and Microloan Improvement Act of 2020 (H.R. 6079).

“NAWBO applauds Representatives Burchett and Kim’s efforts to help put capital into the hands of America’s small business owners,” said Chair of the NAWBO National Board Jeanette Armbrust. “Our business owners want to scale their businesses, and sometimes, it only takes one loan to get them to the next level. We thank you for working across the aisle to find solutions that support an avenue for women business owners to expand.”

NAWBO National supports common-sense bipartisan solutions to helping improve the business environment for women business owners nationwide. To see the 2020 Public Policy Agenda for NAWBO National, click here.
