NAWBO Looks Forward to Bipartisan Collaboration with New Senate Small Business Committee Leaders Ernst, Markey

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) celebrates the appointments of Senators Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Ed Markey (D-MA) as Chair and Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship for the 119th Congress.

Senator Ernst has been a powerful advocate and voice for women business owners in Congress. NAWBO was proud to host Senator Ernst at our 2023 Advocacy Day Conference in Washington, D.C., where she highlighted her deep commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs through increased access to capital opportunities. We are eager to continue working closely with her as she leads the committee.

We are equally excited to see Senator Markey take on the role of Ranking Member. His prior service on the committee reflects his dedication to ensuring that women business owners have the tools they need to succeed. NAWBO looks forward to strengthening our partnership with Senator Markey and collaborating on policies that help women business owners thrive.

We also congratulate the House Small Business Committee leadership: Chair Roger Williams (R-TX) and Ranking Member Nydia Velázquez (D-NY). Both leaders bring essential perspectives to small business advocacy, and NAWBO is committed to working with them to advance bipartisan solutions that empower women entrepreneurs and drive economic growth.

NAWBO remains dedicated to fostering partnerships across Congress to amplify women business owners’ voices and support the economic vitality they bring to our communities and the nation.
