Washington, D.C. (June 6, 2023)—The National Association of Women Business Owners Institute for Entrepreneurial Development (NAWBO Institute) has appointed Jeanette Armbrust, CEO of Greenlight Leadership Consulting Group, as Chair of the 2023-2024 Board of Directors. The NAWBO Institute is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational foundation formed to educate women on how to scale their businesses and strengthen their wealth-creating capacity. Today, with a new and improved virtual platform for education, the NAWBO Institute is growing its efforts through certification and the NAWBO Circle program.
“We are expanding on the strong foundation already built for the NAWBO Institute,” said Jeanette Armbrust, NAWBO Institute Board Chair. “With this talented and diverse group of servant leaders on the NAWBO Institute Board, I know we can grow our certification program, educate thousands of women business owners and provide an opportunity for our $1 million and up business owners to succeed personally and professionally.”
In 2001, Jeanette founded Skyline Exhibits of Central Ohio. After growing that location into an award-winning company, Jeanette sold the company and found herself back in California, launching another Skyline location. After growing that business for three years, she transitioned out of the business and is now the CEO/certified executive leadership coach of Greenlight Leadership Consulting Group, a leadership development and coaching company.
Jeanette was named one of the 2017 Enterprising Women of the Year by Enterprising Women magazine and the SBA Small Business Woman of the Year. In addition to the NAWBO National Board, she served on the Columbus Chamber Board of Directors and is an Executive Women International and WELD member. She also is the co-founder of the Columbus Young Entrepreneur’s Academy and a graduate of the JoAnn Davidson Leadership Institute and, most recently, The Academies CELDC Program.
