NAWBO Expresses Condolences to Comperatore Family and Shares Message of Healthy Democracy

Washington, D.C. — Today, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) released a statement expressing their condolences to the family of Corey Comperatore and shared messages about the importance of democracy.

“NAWBO is deeply saddened by this senseless brutality,” said NAWBO Board Chair Dr. Janis Shinkawa. “The Comperatore Family is grieving, and there are no words to heal their hearts right now. We also send positive thoughts for a swift recovery to former President Trump and those injured in this horrible act.”

“Our nation knows that an act of violence is never the answer. Our business community knows that a strong economy can only be built with the foundation of a healthy democracy. NAWBO National is committed to standing for democracy, freedom, and the rule of law. These values promote prosperity and economic growth. We can keep our economy innovative with lawmakers working across the aisle in our local communities and our nation’s capital,” Shinkawa continued.
