One of the greatest advantages of “belonging” to NAWBO is the strength in numbers that comes when we speak out as an organization on issues of importance to women business owners, whether it’s equality in access to credit, affordable health care, fair and equitable tax treatment or federal procurement opportunities.
This powerful voice of NAWBO recently came together on Capitol Hill for NAWBO’s annual Advocacy Day. Here’s a look back at photos and an agenda packed with exciting opportunities to affect positive change for us all.
Agenda Highlights
- Meet with a National Women’s Business Council representative to learn more about the research and policy items on their 2016 agenda.
- Hear from a Tax Policy Expert over lunch about the changes individuals and businesses can expect this legislative season.
- Meet with key staff members from the U.S. Senate Small Business Committee to discuss the issues of importance to women business owners and their businesses.
- Additional time for NAWBO members to meet with members of The House Representatives and/or The U.S. Senate.
