(Washington, DC, November 8, 2013) — The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO®) issued the following statement in reaction to today’s October Jobs Report:

“The mixed messages contained in the release of today’s October Jobs Report partially reveal the impact of the federal government shutdown, but also speak to what the economic drivers of this country really need to create jobs—consistency. Employers, including our NAWBO members, need to feel confident that federal regulations and legislation are not going to negatively impact their ability to grow and expand their businesses and put people back to work,” said Billie Dragoo, NAWBO National Board Chair and Interim CEO.
