Fran Vaughan, president of FMV Tax Professionals, has been serving WNY tax clients for more than 25 years.
Before arriving in Buffalo, in 1989, Fran was an IRS volunteer income tax preparer (VITA) and prepared returns for military families living overseas. Upon settling in the Buffalo area Fran spent four years as a “top performer” preparing taxes and teaching aspiring tax preparers how to prepare tax returns for a “big box” tax chain. It quickly became apparent that it was time to create FMV Tax Professionals to better serve individuals, small business and not for profit tax clients who wanted a more personalized approach, along with expert advice.
During FMV Tax Professional’s growth period Fran was working full time as a fundraising professional, raising money and managing donor relations for several of Buffalo’s finest institutions.
