Speaker Line-Up and Breakout Session Topics Announced
(Washington, DC, August 23, 2012) —The National Association of Women Business Owners® (NAWBO®) is proud to announce its current line-up of keynote and general session speakers as well as breakout session topics for its Women’s Business Conference (WBC). The conference will be held October 4-5, 2012 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown in Louisville, Kentucky.
The theme of this year’s WBC “START SOMETHING” celebrates the entrepreneurial, innovative and adventurous spirit of women business owners. Whether attendees are starting new products or services, their next phase of growth or another business venture, there is something for everyone with these keynote and general session speakers and breakout topics:
Keynote and general session speakers include Kathy Ireland, Chief Designer and CEO of kathy ireland Worldwide, whose business grosses more than $1.9 billion in sales; Katrina Markoff, Owner, Founder and Chocolatier of Vosges Haut-Chocolat, which has made Inc. magazine’s list of 500 Fastest Growing Companies; Karen Mills, Administrator of the Small Business Administration, who has served in President Obama’s Cabinet since January 2012 as a key member of the economic leadership team; Dr. Patricia Greene, Professor of Entrepreneurship of Babson College and National Academic Director for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative; Jim Horan, President and CEO of The One Page Business Plan and an experienced Fortune 500 executive, small business expert, advisor to non-profits and author/publisher; Terri McCullough, Executive Director of Tory Burch Foundation, who guides the strategy for this non-profit founded by designer Tory Burch to support women’s economic empowerment; and Nat Irvin II, Author, Innovator, Futurist, Teacher and Commentator from the University of Louisville, where he teaches change management, leadership and future studies.
