There is always so much to do in December. Between year-end reporting and bookkeeping, completing projects and planning company celebrations, we all have a lot going on—and those are just our work obligations. Factor in the personal shopping, gift buying and gatherings so many of us do for our families, December is a hectic month. Regardless of that fact, it’s the perfect time to think about the year ahead and plan for your business. A new year gives us a fresh start to reach for our goals and prosper.
Like many of you, I’m excited to see what 2011 has to offer. After peaks and valleys throughout the last year, I believe the months ahead will offer us the opportunity to renew our businesses and regain the momentum of years past. Planning for your success in the coming year is an essential step to attaining your business goals. As we emerge from this recession, small business owners are equipped to lead the way to recovery as we have from every previous recession. As women business owners, it is clear to me that your fortitude will truly lead the way. For these reasons and so many others, I encourage you to take time for yourself and your business in the month of December.
It is my pleasure, on behalf of the NAWBO staff and board of directors to wish you a wonderful holiday season and fabulous year ahead. May NAWBO help you power your dream to make a difference in your life, business and community.
