NAWBO Announces Delivering Happiness CEO and Renowned Speaker Jenn Lim as First Keynote for 2016 Conference
NAWBO is proud to announce that Bank of America will return for the fourth consecutive year as presenting sponsor of the National Women’s Business Conference, “Leading the Way,” hosted by NAWBO. This year’s event will be held September 18-20, 2016 (with Leadership Development Training on the 18th and the conference on the 19th and 20th) in Columbus, Ohio.
The conference will feature an exhibit hall filled with valuable resources and sponsors; plus, breakout sessions on today’s hot topics for women business owners. NAWBO is also excited to introduce its first confirmed keynote speaker for this year’s National Women’s Business Conference: Jenn Lim, CEO and CHO (Chief Happiness Officer) of Delivering Happiness (DH).
Jenn co-founded DH with Tony Hsieh (CEO of Zappos.com) to inspire science-based happiness, passion and purpose at work, at home and in everyday life. She has been a consultant with Zappos since its start-up days in 2003, and she created the Zappos Culture Book, an embodiment of how companies can use happiness as a business model to increase productivity and profitability. Her experience with Zappos, combined with her development of scientific frameworks for workplace happiness, created the evidence that happier employees = happier customers = successful companies (and meaningful lives).
“NAWBO is thrilled to bring so many outstanding resources and best practices to Columbus this year,” said Crystal Arredondo, Chair of the NAWBO National Board of Directors. “With innovation, creativity, leadership and much more, women business owners are poised to continue leading the way. At this year’s conference, we’re excited to celebrate and grow the collective strength of the women business owners we serve.”
“Bank of America is proud to support NAWBO as the official sponsor for the National Women’s Business Conference for the fourth consecutive year,” said Jill Calabrese Bain, Small Business National Sales Executive for Bank of America. “For more than 40 years, NAWBO has led the way for thousands of women business owners and entrepreneurs. We are thrilled to continue to collaborate with NAWBO in order to help many more women start and grow their own small businesses.”
NAWBO was founded in 1975 by a group of women entrepreneurs who joined together to remove obstacles and create opportunities for other women entrepreneurs across the country. Today, NAWBO boasts thousands of members in more than 60 chapters nationwide and is the only member organization representing women entrepreneurs in all sectors, sizes and stages of their business development.
