National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO®) Issues Statement on November Jobs Report

(Washington, DC, December 6, 2013) — The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO®) issued the following statement in reaction to today’s November Jobs Report:

“This morning’s jobs report release shows signs of hope as our country’s economy continues to recover. We must take into account that this first full report since the government shutdown includes government employees returning to work and that 11 million of our fellow Americans are still unemployed. That is what motivates our NAWBO members and chapters all across this country to encourage women to expand and grow their businesses by providing the resources and education they need to succeed. There are definitely things the government must do – like remove regulatory barriers and other rules that restrict growth – but we in the private sector must also do our part to ensure that everyone who wants to work, can,” said Billie Dragoo, NAWBO National Board Chair and Interim CEO.
