The Conscious Company: Connecting Business Success + Social Good
A Seminar for Women Business Owners

SAN DIEGO—January 22, 2016— NAWBO San Diego will continue its seminar series on February 12, 2016 with a presentation from Frank Scarpaci: “The Conscious Company: Connecting Business Success + Social Good.” The seminar will be held at Brandman University, 7460 Mission Valley Road, from noon to 1:30 p.m.

What do Patagonia, Dr Bronner’s, Whole Foods, Warby Parker, Etsy, i.d.e.a., OrganikSEO, Warby Parker, Etsy, and Kickstarter all have in common? They are all conscious companies. In this seminar, attendees will take away:

  • How these companies are using the power of business to solve social and environmental problems
  • What it means to be a conscious company and how they are leading a movement to redefine success in business
  • What are the free tools you can use to help your company benefit from becoming a more socially conscious and sustainable business

Frank Scarpaci, a corporate social responsibility and sustainability consultant, facilitator, and speaker, has over 30 years of experience in the small business, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. His professional background includes strategic planning, executive management, operations, marketing, and business development. In 2005, Frank founded VIANOVA, a sustainable business consulting and training firm dedicated to helping companies connect their business success and social good.

NAWBO members have the option of attending this seminar for $10 (without lunch) or $15 (with a box lunch). The fee for visitors (which includes lunch) is $30.
