NAWBO DFW Attends National Women’s Business Conference in Austin

Oct 20, 2023

NAWBO DFW members had the privilege of attending the National Women’s Business Conference in Austin, an enriching event sponsored by Bank of America. Our heartfelt thanks go out to our sister chapter in Austin for their invaluable assistance in organizing this spectacular conference. It was truly a collaborative effort, with a few of our Dallas sisters even joining the host committee to help make the event a resounding success.

The conference kicked off with invigorating leadership roundtables, providing leaders from various chapters with the opportunity to exchange ideas and insights. The first day was packed with engaging sessions, including annual meeting business, chapter awards, and educational workshops tailored to women business owners. We capped off the evening with a lively picnic reception at County Line on the Lake, where we danced the night away under the stars.

Day two began with an inspiring fireside chat featuring serial entrepreneur and author Mei Xu, setting the tone for a day filled with enriching sessions focused on cultivating growth, connecting to thrive, and achieving success. The opening reception celebrated our sponsors and exhibitors with a fun “boots and bling” theme, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the conference attendees.

The final day commenced with a breakfast in the exhibition hall, providing an opportunity for attendees to network and connect with exhibitors. The morning sessions delved into workshops on certification and franchising, offering valuable insights for women entrepreneurs. After lunch, we were treated to another inspiring keynote featuring Dr. Martha Beck, leaving us energized and empowered.

The conference concluded on a high note with the NAWBO annual national awards gala, where we celebrated the outstanding achievements of women entrepreneurs from across the country. It was a fitting end to a truly memorable conference, filled with learning, networking, and celebration. As we return to Dallas, we carry with us the inspiration and camaraderie of the conference, ready to continue empowering and supporting women business owners in our community.
