The Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-DFW) has elected its Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 year.

Serving as President is Leslie Hassler, CEO of Your Biz Rules. Her business helps women get a clear-eyed view of the moving parts in their company from 30,000 feet and prioritize what to do first, next — and never. She is the author of First This, Then That: The Rules of Getting Growth Right in Your Service-Based Business and a popular speaker.

Tarsha Polk is Immediate Past President and owner of The Marketing Lady. She is a marketing coach for entrepreneurs, personal brand coach, and international speaker who is passionate about entrepreneurship. She has earned seven leadership awards, holds an MBA, and has an enviable client list.

The Secretary/Treasurer position is held by Tammy Lamont, CPA. As founder of Lamont Accounting Services, LLC, she takes a proactive, consultative approach with the big picture in mind to create effective accounting strategies that support her client’s goals.  She applies her award-winning Fortune 500 experience to the benefit of her small business clients.  

Treta Sellers is Director of Programs for NAWBO-DFW.  She is a Financial Professional at Personal Economics Group where she helps clients with asset and wealth management.

The Director of Membership for 2018-2019 is Liz Whitteberry. She is founder of Best Path Advisors, a holistic financial planning firm that helps their clients live their best life on purpose and retire successfully on time. Liz holds eleven certifications related to financial planning and wealth management.  Outside of work, she has run 48 marathons and 17 ultra-marathons, including the Badwater Salton Sea Adventure Race.

Janie Stubblefield, a former Past President is Director of Public Policy.  She is founder of Mobile Counseling of Dallas where she provides private practice counseling to individuals, families, youth, and children who need help developing a clear plan for improving their most important life relationships.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor in Texas, a Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Licensed Child Care Administrator.

The 2018-2019 Director of Marketing is Sandi Leyva. She runs a full-service digital marketing agency for small businesses who want to attract customers using the latest online methods.  She has written 30 books, won nine thought leader awards, and has traveled to more than 100 countries, including Antarctica.

Brenda Meyers is Director of Business Development. She founded Sterling Tea, a growing Texas based importer, artisan blender, and distributor of over 100 premium loose leaf teas. Brenda and her TEAm infuse their love of tea in every blend and her personal goal is to introduce the pleasures of tea to everyone she meets.

The Director of Mentorship is a new position held by Dr. Cortney Baker. She is an award-winning entrepreneur, host of the talk show Conquering the Glass Ceiling with Dr. Cortney, podcast host, researcher, author, trainer, TEDx speaker, and a nationally recognized authority on women’s leadership.
