NAWBO Releases Statement on Supporting a Diverse Women Business Economy
Washington, D.C. —Today, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) released a statement in solidarity with and support of women business owners across all dimensions of diversity who are the engines of our nation’s growing economy.
"NAWBO is proud to stand by all women business owners, regardless of their age, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation or size/type of business, as we continue to work to grow the U.S. economy," said NAWBO Board Chair Lisa Coppola. "For more than fifty years, members of Congress on both sides of the aisle have worked to fortify the women business owners who drive the business economy. To this end, we have seen tremendous growth, with women business owners accounting for nearly $2 trillion in receipts, according to the Census’s 2021 Annual Small Business Survey. We believe in our mission to propel women business owners into spheres of power worldwide, and we know lifting all sections of our economy helps build a sustainable American business landscape."
