NAWBO National Endorses Steve Chabot For Congress

Washington, D.C. —The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is announcing its endorsement of U.S. Congressman Steve Chabotin his bid for re-election in Ohio’s First Congressional District. Chabot joins a list of candidates with strong business backgrounds supported by NAWBO National.

“2018 marks the 30thanniversary of The Women Business Ownership Act, a milestone for women in business,” explains Molly Gimmel, NAWBO National Board Chair. “This year more than ever, we need strong members of Congress representating our community by putting our priorities on the forefront of their policy agendas. We believe Congressman Chabot is truly an advocate for the woman entrepreneur, and we are proud to stand behind him in his re-election.”

"I am honored to receive NAWBO’s endorsement. Strong entrepreneurs and business owners are the backbone of the US economy, and a key to future job creation.  As Chairman of the Small Business Committee, I’ve had the opportunity to work with small business owners across the nation, including many NAWBO members, on policies that will help their businesses, and our economy, grow and prosper, and I look forward to continuing those efforts in the next Congress," said Congressman Chabot.

NAWBO National previously endorsed Chabot during his 2016 re-election bid.

NAWBO National considers candidates for endorsement after they have won their primary. The selection of candidates is based solely on their history of business ownership or their voting record demonstrating their consistent support of business owners. Additional endorsements will be made by NAWBO prior to the November 6 general election.
