NAWBO National Endorses Stephanie Murphy For Congress

Washington, D.C. —The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is announcing its endorsement of U.S. Representative Stephanie Murphy in her bid for re-election in Florida’s 7th District.

“From her personal experience in business, to her current work on the U.S. House Small Business Committee, Congresswoman Murphy is a tireless advocate for women business owners,” explains Molly Gimmel, NAWBO National Board Chair.  “She utilizes her understanding of the obstacles and opportunities women business owners face to discern the best policies and paths forward for the women business owner community and she does so in a bipartisan manner.  We are proud to endorse her campaign for re-election.”

“I’m incredibly honored to earn the endorsement of the National Association of Women’s Business Owners and to have their support in my re-election,” said Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy. “With my own experience in business, I know the unique challenges and opportunities women face in business today, and that’s why in Congress I’ve been working to empower entrepreneurs and business owners across central Florida. From securing more federal investments in women business centers to helping more women get access to capital to start or grow their business, I will keep working with both parties to help middle-class families and strengthen our economy.”

NAWBO National considers candidates for endorsement after they have won their primary. The selection of candidates is based solely on their history of business ownership or their voting record demonstrating their consistent support of business owners. Additional endorsements will be made by NAWBO prior to the November 6th general election.
