NAWBO National Continues Congressional Endorsement Campaign
(Washington, D.C. July 16, 2018)—Today the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is announcing its endorsement of Barbara Comstock in her bid for re-election to Congress from Virginia’s 10thDistrict.
“NAWBO was founded in 1975 in Washington, D.C. to serve as the first advocacy organization for all women business owners. NAWBO National has been working with Barbara on ways to increase access to capital and expand opportunities for women to start and scale their businesses for years,” said Molly Gimmel, NAWBO National Board Chair. “We value the commitment she has to seeing women succeed in business. We are pleased to announce our endorsement of Barbara Comstock and look forward to continuing to work with her on behalf of our members and all women business owners.”
NAWBO National considers candidates for endorsement after they have won their primary election based solely on their history of business ownership or their legislative or executive record demonstrating their support for business owners. Additional endorsements will be made by NAWBO National prior to the November 6 general election.
“With tax cuts and regulatory relief driving record optimism about the economy, and the unemployment rate for women being consistently low, it is a great time for women business owners to grow and take on more opportunities. I am pleased once again to be endorsed by NAWBO and work with them on the best policies for promoting women business owners,” said Congresswoman Comstock. “The voters of the 10th Congressional District have a clear choice this election. I have been a leader for women business owners in Virginia for a decade supporting tax cuts and regulatory relief for our small businesses. I look forward to continuing to work with NAWBO and advocating on behalf of women business owners."
NAWBO National previously endorsed Comstock during her 2014 and 2016 re-elections bids.
