NAWBO Seeks to Educate through Programming and Mentoring for Members
First program attracts a capacity crowd.
Our first business program brought a nearly sold out crowd to hear former newscaster Kari Lake as she runs for governor of Arizona because of her frustrations with the media. We have also invited her fellow candidate Katie Hobbs to a future program. It’s amazing to have two women that are top gubernatorial candidates running for governor.
Based on comments, social media and emails, everyone who walked away from the NAWBO event had an emotional response to the program. It’s great to have diversity in ideas, speakers and thinking. It certainly was educational- whether you agree with Ms. Lake or not, it gave a good viewpoint of where she came from and what she stands for as you will be making your choice for governor next year. Maybe this is why we had more people than we have had in years at one of our business programs.
Next Program: Meet Cannabis CEO Lilach Power
And next up, we have another provocative guest for our November 10th program, Lilach Mazor Power, Founder and CEO of the Giving Tree. Power has an interesting story. She has gone from a sergeant in the Israeli military to a founder of Arizona’s sole dispenser that features majority female ownership. As a visionary and CEO, she has also raised almost $100,000 for charity and has volunteered for many causes.
Master your Business with Mentoring
Both of these programs fit the NAWBO goal of educating its members as does the mentoring program. Two years ago, I co-chaired the mentoring program with current chair, Ronit Urman. The program is highly structured covering vital subjects such as finances, marketing, sales, and communications. It is an ideal program for someone serious about leveling up their business and consists of hands-on coaching, guest speakers, mastermind sessions and workshops. Go to NAWBOmentoring.com to sign up.
