Theresa Butterfield
Butterfield Jewelers was founded on October 28, 1928 in Pana, Illinois. The business moved to Albuquerque in 1945. We were located on Central across from the University of New Mexico. Where the Bookstore is now used to be Yale Park. We were across the street from Yale Park. We moved the business in 1975 to our current location in Butterfield Plaza. In 2020, we will celebrate 92 years in business!

I am the fourth generation behind my grandfather, Ernest B. Butterfield, my father, Bernie Butterfield and my brother, Mike Butterfield. I am a graduate Gemologist (GIA) and Certified Gemologist Appraiser (AGS). I am CEO, COO, President, Secretary and General Manager for Butterfield Personal Service Jewelers, Inc. Customer service and customer care is our priority. Butterfield Jewelers is home of "The Butterfield Diamond". The Butterfield Diamond is graded by the highest standards of Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat Weight. The highest standards of the American Gem Society.

I married my high school sweetheart, Bill Maxey, 35 years ago. Bill works at Butterfield Jewelers as CFO, Vice President and head Diamond Buyer. We have one son, Ryan. I am a Chi Omega alum, and my football team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
