NAWBO DFW Empowers South Dallas Entrepreneurs

NAWBO DFW is committed to supporting women entrepreneurs in their journey to business success. This mission was powerfully showcased when we had the honor of being the community partner for Prosperity Bank’s South Dallas Masterclass Series. This innovative initiative provides an invaluable opportunity for small business owners and entrepreneurs to learn, grow, and implement strategies that will help their businesses thrive.

The Prosperity Bank Business Masterclass Series is a comprehensive, multi-week curriculum tailored specifically to the needs of small business owners. Over six weeks, participants delved into key areas of business management and strategy, such as crafting a solid business plan, managing cash flow projections, understanding business and personal credit, recruiting and retaining talent, and leveraging digital marketing for growth. These essential topics were instructed by top business executives and financial professionals, ensuring participants received both strategic insight and actionable advice.

A unique aspect of this program was the one-on-one mentorship provided to each participant. By pairing each business owner with a seasoned mentor, the series offered personalized guidance that participants could directly apply to their businesses. Along with this mentorship, participants were given exclusive access to valuable resources that further enhanced their learning experience and helped foster long-term growth.

As the weeks progressed, participants not only gained knowledge but also formed lasting relationships with each other. The cohort bonded over shared experiences, creating a supportive network of fellow entrepreneurs who could lean on one another for advice, motivation, and encouragement.

The masterclass ended on an exciting note with a Pitch Competition, where participants had the chance to showcase what they had learned and pitch their businesses to a panel of judges. Following the competition, a graduation dinner was hosted at Maggio’s Little Italy, where the pitch winners were announced and celebrated.

NAWBO DFW was thrilled to be able to contribute to the program by awarding a scholarship membership to one of the standout participants. This scholarship is our way of continuing to support their business journey and welcoming them into a community of women entrepreneurs who are dedicated to each other’s success.
