FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Hello NAWBO Chicago,
Being a leader is a job all by itself. When the office lights dim, the leader refines her vision, evaluates the falls, unravels the decision-making knots. In other words, she works it.

Nowhere else will you find women leaders in mass than with NAWBO Chicago.

NAWBO TALKS gives you a front row seat to notable, inspiring business women in Chicago like ComEd CEO and President Anne Pramaggiore on Oct. 26. Save a seat at the Celebration of Achievement Luncheon May 1, 2018, when Christie Hefner, former Chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises, Inc., takes the stage.

For times you just want to be with your flock, our monthly CONNECTS events continue to grow. One regional leader told me that one of that attendees exclaimed that “got more out of 1½ hours at CONNECTS than anywhere else.” These informal gatherings over coffee give change-makers a rare opportunity to share and compare.

Switching gears, WHO WANTS A FREE HAIRSTYLE from earthly upscale Natural Elements Salon in the heart of Lincoln Park? Or how about a decadent bite of Vosges Haut-Chocolat, not to mention scads of just-in-time gift cards? Fall membership drive is here. Share the NAWBO love and earn points. It’s super easy and sees more details below. Just email us at info@nawbochicago.org, let us know who joined, and we’ll track the rest.

I remember my first week at NAWBO. My car was piled high with boxes of files, binders, and notes. Since then, I’ve settled into my own servant leadership style, listening to people and pitching in wherever, whenever. We have seen membership grow, members feeling heard and greater engagement all around.

To that point, as we kick off NAWBO’s new year, I look forward to seeing your hand shape our community so we can get the job done for all women in business.

Cheers,
Wendy
