A Purposeful Time
The 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment couldn’t have come at a more purposeful time. While women business owners have always been natural leaders, I implore us to use our voices and actions more boldly and equitably, whether as the only woman in a boardroom or one of many women in a doctor’s waiting room. We must collectively use our voices and actions to dismantle systemic racism within our spheres of influence, so women business owners from disenfranchised groups can have unbiased opportunities to succeed.
Strength of My Peers
Upon joining NAWBO, I immediately joined the West Town Mastermind. I love to see the strength from the women in this group and how they navigate their businesses. It is inspiring and mind-blowing to hear about everyone’s experiences. Together we dissect different issues that arise in our companies and lives, and we work through them together. The Diversity of Membership
One of the beauties of being a NAWBO member is the diversity of its membership. Not only is it a forum for business owners of varying industries and sizes to join together, but it also comprises members of all ages, colors and affiliations.
