Message From Our President November 2024

Nov 1, 2024

It’s hard to believe that November is already here, and we are progressing towards year-end and the strategy tasks that come with business planning for next year. Are you starting to think about what plans you have for utilizing your NAWBO Chicago membership in 2025? There are so many great benefits to this organization that I want to shout out from the top of our tallest building in Chicago – the Willis Tower – about all that NAWBO Chicago has to offer our community of women business owners! I hope you will take advantage and implement some of these fantastic benefits into your plans for optimizing your business in 2025.

Speaking and writing opportunities at the local level:

Are you looking to grow your business via speaking and/or writing and publishing? If so, NAWBO Chicago is a great platform and offers the following opportunities:

  • You can register for the NAWBO Chicago Speakers Bureau to be a speaker, trainer and/or coach on your specific topic. To do so, please email [email protected] with your name, company and speaking topics.
  • Premier Members can speak at our Chicagoland events, including Connects meetings.
  • We also get speaking opportunities from around Chicagoland, which is why it is so important to stay connected with NAWBO Chicago as we really do have a seat at so many tables in this area. This year, we provided a series of speakers for International Woman’s Day and we also have a speaking series going on with the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP). I had the chance to speak for them recently, and I got some leads from that opportunity to boot!

Speaking and writing opportunities at the national level:

NAWBO Product Makers Group:

Are you a NAWBO Chicago member with a product company that sells B2B or D2C? Having a product business is very different than a service business. Join this group each month on Zoom to chat about your business and use the collective wisdom of the room to talk through where/how sell ideas, problems and opportunities you have.

Perks and Discounts for NAWBO Chicago Members:

  • It’s open enrollment season for health insurance and NAWBO is here to serve you! We have an Affinity Partner in American Affinity Alliance, who can help you secure health insurance and other insurance benefits.
  • Discounts on items you need to buy for your business every day, like office supplies, shipping discounts, computers and batteries.

That was a lot of benefits to take advantage of! And if that was not enough, you get the support of NAWBO sisterhood and camaraderie right here in Chicagoland by taking advantage of our Mastermind groups, and all kinds of networking opportunities and professional development topics to discover.

Let’s make the most of 2025 within this fabulous framework of sisterhood!

Sincerely,

Angie Noll
