Member Spotlight – Reach

Mar 4, 2025

How do you expand your reach as a woman business owner, whether through networking, marketing or community engagement, to grow your business and impact?

Lindrea Reynolds
Founder and Chief Brand Strategist
LR Brand Consulting, Inc.

I expand my reach by cultivating relationships with industry decision-makers, fellow entrepreneurs and peers whose values align with mine. This alignment isn’t just preferable—it’s fundamental to creating relationships that exceed typical business interactions. When we share core principles, our interactions naturally produce more valuable outcomes. These relationships are rooted in mutual respect and shared purpose; they foster deeper conversations, natural trust and organic opportunities.

This same value-driven approach extends to my community involvement. I actively participate in industry initiatives and support causes that align with my beliefs (I’m all about amplifying the good in others across generations!). Through these connections, I’ve gained speaking engagements, partnerships and client projects, reinforcing a network where professional growth and collective influence go hand in hand.

In addition, I expand my reach through intentional storytelling (personal anecdotes and case studies) and thought leadership that elevate my brand and those within my ecosystem. By offering insights and championing diverse perspectives, I contribute to broader conversations, opening doors to fresh opportunities, exchanges that strengthen our society and sometimes new friendships!

Getting involved with NAWBO Chicago’s committees allowed me to connect with other business owners, raise awareness of my company and expand my network beyond my local community. Through these connections, I gained access to various events and networking opportunities. One notable opportunity was speaking to a women’s group, which led to even more doors opening for me.

For the past 10 years, I’ve been educating business owners about insurance two to three times a month. Additionally, I serve as the insurance resource for several incubators and small business organizations in Chicago, including The Hatchery, 1871, MHub and the Women’s Business Development Center.

NAWBO Chicago members played a crucial role in encouraging and empowering me to build relationships and step into leadership roles. As a result, I’ve even started my own networking groups to help other business owners grow their businesses and connect with one another. In 2024, we had our best year, and I credit much of that success to the opportunities NAWBO provided me.
