This past year, collaboration has been the most important trait to me. I launched my business three months before the mandatory quarantine. As a founder who loves to meet new people and prefers in-person networking, quarantining was not an ideal situation for my business. But I understood the why and adapted quickly. I learned that I needed to tap into my existing network to start building my team and to identify ways to grow and sustain my business. I also collaborated with other small business owners who complemented my company’s core competencies. We combined our service offerings to bid on larger long-term projects. These collaborations provided new revenue sources and exposure to a broader audience in the national market. Teamwork and collaboration are crucial to innovating and sustaining any brand. It also provides a great opportunity to share new insights and learn from others.
