Member Insights: Driven By Purpose

Dec 11, 2020

Simon Sinek once said that “Everyone has a WHY – it is the purposecause or belief that drives every one of us.” What is your purpose?

The built environment impacts everyone. Whether in the form of providing equitable shelter, universal beauty or responsible use of our resources to an individual, institution or a community, an architect, engineer and designer can shape positive change. It is my personal mission to foster professionals, inside and outside of our firm, to use their imagination, creativity and social conscience to tilt the scales towards positive change no matter how small the gesture or wide the impact. With a focus on mission-driven clients, my team seizes the opportunity to transform the built environment for the social good.

The purpose for me (the WHY) is in the very name of my company: WarmlyYours.  I wanted it to be personal – to have a relationship with my customers. It’s why the WarmlyYours business model is very direct: we decided from day one not to go through distribution because I wanted to hear “directly” from my customers – the good, bad and the ugly – and I wanted to get feedback from my installers in the field.  It’s what allows all of us at WarmlyYours to make the changes that address customer needs and feedback.  It drives our product development and our sales and marketing efforts.  It’s also what allows us to maintain our customers – even with strong competition.  We know our customer base and, even more importantly, they know who we are. It’s personal.  WarmlyYours, Julia
