How Can NAWBO Chicago Assist You?

Sep 5, 2019

The year is really flying by and I can’t believe we are already nearing the fourth fiscal quarter!

While I’m not ready for summer to end, this is the right time to review the year and plan on where you want to be next year and in the next five years. Some of you may have heard about a new show on HBO called “Years and Years” that has a fascinating premise: in the first episode, time moves forward five years in the future. How amazing if we could see where we’ll be in five years!

Calling all Women Business Owners (WBO’s)!  I want to hear from as many NAWBO Chicago members as possible.  Please email ([email protected]) or call/text me (312-371-3939) and let me know you’re a member. I’ll know you have something to say and I want to listen because every voice in NAWBO is important!  You’ve paid your annual dues to belong, so I ask you:

  • What do you want?
  • What do you need to assist you in your business?
  • How have you seen business change?
  • What tools do you think will be most important in the coming year? In the next 5 years?

We want and need to provide the resources and content that will best assist you and your business because good content will lead to engagement, which will benefit all members. I ask every member what content are you eager to see?

Your path as a WBO – wherever you are on that spectrum – is important.  The world is changing and the way we connect is evolving. But if you’re trying to make payroll or you need to draw a salary to pay the bills, I get it because I’ve done it! I don’t have all the answers, but I’ve had the concerns.  I’d go so far as to say I’ve had your same fears when everyone is counting on you to deliver!  It’s stressful! But NAWBO members all share similar experiences, pitfalls, successes and beliefs – and we THRIVE. Together.

Some may grumble about not quite getting the value you were seeking in your membership. But I say a membership is what you make it. Some members just want the affiliate badge while most others wholly participate and engage and mentor and celebrate and learn and support and collaborate with other members to give and receive the most benefit. Think about it this way: you can pay a monthly gym fee but that doesn’t mean you will see any results unless you actively participate and USE the gym regularly.

So call, text or email me. I look forward to hearing from you. Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer!
