Describe why you want to serve as a Connects leader for NAWBO Chicago.

NAWBO embodies women supporting women. I am committed to NAWBO and all of the wonderful women I met through it. Running the Connects meetings is a perfect way for me to stay in touch with everyone while creating the atmosphere for sharing resources and wisdom.

How do monthly Connects meetings enhance the membership experience?

The Connects meetings are the lifeblood of NAWBO. They are where connections happen, friendships are formed and resources are shared. Taking that 90 minutes once each month to engage with other women business owners makes a huge difference in the success of your business. I believe each participant learns something and shares something that helps another WBO.

How do the monthly Connects meetings grow the organization’s membership base?

The Connects meetings create opportunities for new people to try NAWBO. Current members can invite other women to the meetings, too. The biggest advocate for NAWBO is the feeling created by the sisterhood of NAWBO women. When people experience that spirit, they tend to join.
