Connects Leader Profile – Lynette DeRose

Jul 5, 2023

Name: Lynette DeRose

CompanySupporting Strategies | Chicago Southland

Years as a NAWBO Chicago Member:  2.5 years

Connects Group: West/South Connects

Describe why you want to serve as a Connects leader for NAWBO Chicago.

I chose to serve as a Connects leader because I want to help the women in my group meet others and make valuable connections.  As a board member, I can also bring insights and represent the Chicago board to those in our group that have questions.  I see it as a two-way street – bringing information to and from the board to help our Connects group grow and stay informed.

What purpose do Connects groups serve for members and guests?

The Connects group gives members and guests a peak into how the organization runs and shows a small sample of the value a NAWBO membership can bring to the personal and professional growth of the member and her business. Connects groups also give the member a “home base” to launch from in NAWBO Chicago.
