Jennifer Idler:
I was born and raised on the Central Coast and graduated from Cal Poly in 2001. After college, I was fortunate enough to move around the country, working as a Sales Director for Harrah’s Entertainment and Hilton Hotels. Working in hospitality gave me a foundation for serving others and best practices in the service industry.
I was a proud member of the NAWBO Scranton, PA chapter for several years and that is why I was so eager and excited to join this Central Coast NAWBO group! I now work at my family-owned business, Idlers Home, which has been thriving since my grandparents started it in 1954. I am serving as our Human Resources Director, also coordinating most events for our business. I love what I do as it puts me on the front line with all our team. Hiring, onboarding, and working through positive times and difficult ones with 80-plus team members is challenging and fun all at once.
My two beautiful daughters, Reagan, 9, and Taylor, 7, keep me busy doing ballet, tap, and volleyball.
I am also a member of the Rotary Club of Paso Robles and team captain for our Relay for Life team (9 years running now!) Co-Chair of the Women in Business in Atascadero and active in PTA at my girls school. When I am not doing all these other things, I really enjoy traveling and camping with my family and I am a runner, trying to complete at least one half marathon somewhere fun and different each year.
