NAWBO Institute for Entrepreneurial Development
In 2003, National Association for Women Business Owners formed the NAWBO Institute for Entrepreneurial Development. The NAWBO IED is a 501(c)3 educational foundation that seeks to expand the educational opportunities for emerging and established women entrepreneurs.
Past NAWBO IED initiatives include:
- Sponsorship of an international track of educational programming at NAWBO’s 2004 Women’s Business Conference in Dallas, TX
- Sponsorship of the October 2004 Joint Economic Summit hosted in conjunction with Women Entrepreneurs of Canada
- A nationwide campaign in 2005 to support women entrepreneurs affected by Hurricane Katrina
