NAWBO :: Advocacy Partners

Advocacy Partners

NAWBO Advocacy Partners provide NAWBO with more opportunity to speak to decision makers on behalf of our members and women business owners in general on issues that are most important to women entrepreneurs today. These issues include health care, procurement opportunities, access to capital, fair and equitable tax treatment for small businesses and more. For details on NAWBO’s public policy platform and legislative highlights—and to get involved to make sure your voice is heard—please visit our site’s Legislative Action Center.

The Council on Women and Girls

The White House Council on Women and Girls will ensure that agencies across the federal government, not just a few offices, take into account the particular needs and concerns of women and girls. The Council will begin its work by asking each agency to analyze their current status and ensure that they are focused internally and externally on women.

Coalition for Affordable Health Coverage

NAWBO is a member of the Coalition for Affordable Health Coverage. The Coalition supports and advocates for “market-oriented approaches and tax incentives or other subsidies to promote affordable health coverage for all, including the uninsured.”  Tax parity for the treatment of health expenses for individuals and the self-employed is also a focus of the Coalition.
