NAWBO National Continues Congressional Endorsement Campaign
(Washington, D.C) - Today the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is announcing its endorsement of Mimi Walters in her bid for re-election to Congress from California’s 45thDistrict.
“The NAWBO National Congressional Endorsement Campaign looks for candidates for Congress who understand the challenges facing women small business owners and are willing to work on a bi-partisan basis on policies that allow more women to start and scale their businesses. Congresswoman Walters offers both,” says Molly Gimmel, NAWBO National Board Chair.
“We appreciate her commitment to the women business owners in her district and across the country and look forward to finding more ways we can work together to advocate on behalf of them and their employees. We are pleased to announce our endorsement of Mimi Walters.”
NAWBO National considers candidates for endorsement after they have won their primary election based solely on their history of business ownership or their legislative or executive record demonstrating their support for business owners. Additional endorsements will be made by NAWBO National prior to the November 6 general election.
“Organizations like NAWBO play an important role in our country as they advocate for women business owners. I have enjoyed working with them for years on behalf of women business owners to ensure our mutual commitment to policies that allow women to start and expand their businesses move forward,” said Congresswoman Walters. “Women business owners represent a diverse and important segment of our economy. They need to be given access to the tools and resources they need to thrive. It is my pleasure to be able to represent so may women business owners in Congress and to have a partner like NAWBO with whom I can pursue policies on their behalf.”
NAWBO National previously endorsed Walters during her 2016 re-elections bid.
