Health Care Working Group
The Health Care Working Group of NAWBO's Public Policy Forum works to generate discussion and encourage action on health care issues.
Goals of the Working Group
- Build a committee of engaged members focused on clear, achievable goals
- Include members throughout the country representing different size companies and different regions
- Include benefits specialists, members from states with small business reforms in place, those without protections, and those in the process of passing or implementing reforms
- Include members who are part of statewide health care policy initiatives
- Facilitate process that will unleash the creativity of members and establish new opportunities for collaboration and recommendations for legislative initiatives
- Promote chapter level engagement by providing resources, publishing information pieces, and sharing statewide and chapter initiatives
- Create Webinars to help engage chapters
- Gain clarity on what role NAWBO members want the organization to play in upcoming federal health policy debate
- Determine members’ priorities for reform
