2007 Women's Business Conference

NAWBO's 2007 Women's Business Conference was a resounding success! Women entrepreneurs from across the country gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, May 31-June 2, for the exciting opportunity to connect with other NAWBO members, industry experts, and partnering organizations.
WNBA President Donna Orender pumped up the crowd on Thursday, May 31 with her energy-filled presentation on the power of women's leadership at work, play, and home.
Friday, June 1 featured author and business owner Patricia Russell-McCloud, who got attendees cheering with her rousing remarks, proving that attitude is everything.
Closing the conference with a call to action, feminist and journalist Gloria Steinem engaged in a dialogue with conference participants and reminded them that our work is not done.
2006 Women's Business Conference

On Friday, June 2, conference attendees enjoyed a keynote address by Stan Slap, former executive vice president of Mrs. Field's Cookies. Slap enlightened women business owners about the Seven Deadly Sins of Strategic Implemtation™ and discussed the ins and outs of employee culture.
For Saturday's keynote luncheon, Maria de Lourdes Sobrino spoke about her path to success as Founder and CEO of Lulu's Dessert® Corporation. The company is ranked among the largest and fastest growing Hispanic owned businesses in the United States.
Other speakers included Stephanie Frank, author of The Accidental Millionaire, Jill Lublin, author of Guerilla Publicity, and David Nour, author and senior management advisor.
Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a Vinayasa yoga session (led by NAWBO member Cassie Stockamp), join a wine tasting workshop, and take a class on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
